Mark J. Sobeck Roof Consulting, Inc. was founded in October of 2001 to serve the needs of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our region had experienced many roof failures and much litigation as have many other areas throughout the country. We saw a need to improve the quality of roofing and raise the awareness of the value that a roof consultant can bring to a roofing project.
Our clients soon learned that the process of good design, good materials and good installation cannot be compromised. Our process of investigation, design, and construction inspection proves to be very successful on all of our projects.
Our clients quickly realized that they could utilize our services on other buildings they owned throughout the country. This led us to work on many projects in places such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Toronto, New York City and many other cities.
Many architects and engineers have welcomed our services and now pursue roofing projects with our assistance, rather than shying away from them because of the previous high probability of problems.
Our company has grown from one person to up to 15 at certain times of the year. We will travel anywhere people need our services, including out of the country. We have many millions of square feet of very successful installations under our belts. We have taken on many new and challenging projects that required us to learn new methods and systems and this has expanded our abilities over the years, to include more building envelope components.
We are typically slow to embrace new products, because throughout a combined over 200 years of roofing experience in our company we have seen many products come into the market only to fail miserably in a few years. We stay with time-tested systems and methods that we have known to perform very well over the last 20 to 30 years - or longer.
We can consult on any type of system, including slate, tile, rubber, thermoplastics, metal, modified bitumen, shingles, and any other type of system on the market.
We welcome new clients and look forward to building long-term relationships that will allow our clients to have their roofs for a very long time. As we tell our clients, a good roof is a very valuable asset 20 or 30 years down the road whether you keep or sell the building. Building owners should not have to get to retirement age and put millions of dollars into their roofs before they can sell their properties. Likewise, our younger clients should not have to get to be middle-age and start to put millions of dollars into their roofs. We think very long term.
