SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS
After completing a thorough inspection of your roof, a roof plan is drawn to scale on CAD. All penetrations are drawn to size and in their exact locations on the roof. This proves to be a valuable tool in the future for locating and documenting leaks, defining repairs, and the addition of new penetrations or the deletion of old penetrations. All details are drawn on CAD for use in bidding and construction. Careful thought is given to the long term performance of each detail and notes are provided so that the job foreman has working drawings, with which to work in the field.
INFRARED MOISTURE SURVEYS
Infrared is a great tool to perform leak detection, outline wet insulation that can be causing damage to your roof deck, locate energy loss, look for insulation gaps, etc. Our thermographers have scanned millions of square feet of roofs to locate wet insulation and/ or find leaks. To determine the best solution to a roof problem, you must first determine exactly what you have. Our inspections are very thorough and our reports provide all of the information you will need to make decisions about maintaining, preserving, or replacing your roof.
Roofs are inspected from above and below. All roofing, insulation, sheet metal, drainage and other roof components are checked and conditions documented.
Problem areas are identified, marked, and located on the roof plan and roof.
Core samples are cut from each distinct roof area and all conditions are photographed and documented.
There is an old saying, "People do what you inspect, not what you expect." The quality of the roof installation goes up exponentially when the workmen know that someone is looking over their shoulder. To insure that your roof is of the highest quality, inspection is a key ingredient.
Insulation fastening patterns are checked to verify that the desired wind uplift resistance is achieved.
When unforseen problems arise, we are there to design the repair and document the work, so that the contractor will be fairly compensated for the extra work.
The end result is a job that is done as specified, and a trouble free roof that meets or exceeds your expectations.
